In the face of renewed threats from President Trump to conduct immigration raids, Governor JB Pritzker and Attorney General Kwame Raoul reiterated their commitment to working hand in hand to use every tool at their disposal to protect Illinois' immigrant families.
Attorney General Raoul is reminding that everyone has constitutional rights, regardless of their citizenship status.
Spokesperson Annie Thompson says immigrants should carry a valid I-D with them at all times, and any papers or a work permit.
Thompson says if police or immigration officers come to your home without a warrant, you do not have to open the door.
