Tornado damage in Harrisburg

A detective with the SIU-C Department of Public Safety is taking Wednesday's deadly tornado in Harrisburg particularly hard.Scott Miller is a Harrisburg native and was a distant relative to one of the six people killed in the twister. He helped provide security in one of the hardest hit neighborhoods Wednesday night. In fact, he protected the home of his best friend's mother during his shift. Miller says despite the devastation, the people of Harrisburg are remarkably upbeat.

Miller says the way residents are handling the situation makes him proud to be from Harrisburg. Miller says he is asking area residents to keep the people of Harrisburg in their thoughts and prayers as they recover from the deadly storm.
