Illinois Governor JB Pritzker made a stop Thursday at a Marion early learning center to discuss investments the state is making in early childhood development and education
Pritzker says he wants for Illinois to be the best state in the nation for raising young children. Pritzker said that back in December of 2019 he announced increased reimbursement rates for the state's childcare assistance program.
The Governor also spoke about goals for universal pre-school in Illinois and a goal of having universal home visits for at risk children by the year 2025.
