Illinois Governor JB Pritzker says the state has reached another milestone in the fight against COVID-19. As of today (Friday) the state is receiving 100 thousand doses of the vaccine per day. Governor Pritzker says the more vaccine is available the more people can be protected.
"I'm excited about the fact that we'll be able to get to more and more people across the state of Illinois, and I'm confident that not just by May 1, but maybe even a little bit earlier we could open up to everyone in the state."
President Biden recently pledged to have every American adult eligible for a shot by May.
