Frankfort Schools Plan to Start Hybrid Learning Model, Cobden Schools to Consider It

Images

After starting the academic year with a remote-only learning model due to COVID-19, Frankfort Community School District 168 in West Frankfort is pivoting back to a hybrid schedule starting on September 14.
This means students will continue learning remotely on Fridays with in-person classes returning Monday through Thursday at Denning Elementary, Frankfort Intermediate and Central Junior High School.

Frankfort High School students will alternate Monday through Thursday with A and B days.

Meanwhile, the Cobden School Board plans to make a decision on returning to a hybrid learning model or to stay remote at the next school board meeting.

The meeting will be held on September 14th.

Board members will use data from the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Southern 7 Health Department to make their decision.
