The NFL Draft runs from now through Saturday in Nashville.
A former Saluki wide receiver hopes to hear his name called sometime this weekend.
Raphael Leonard will be watching from home in Mississippi with this friends and family. Although he does not expect to hear his name during the Draft, when it ends, Leonard hopes to get picked up as a free agent signee.
Leonard started his football career at Florida Atlantic University, he then transferred to East Mississippi Community College, before finding at home at SIU.
Leonard says he has received advice from two former Saluki defensive backs currently on NFL rosters. Craig James of the Minnesota Vikings and Ryan Neal of the Atlanta Falcons were both free agent signees.
