Former Saluki Heads Back to Carbondale for a Book Signing

Book cover

A former scholarship basketball player at SIU in the 1970's will be back in Carbondale next week to sign his new book entitled Sports Idols' Idols.

Scott Lynn has been a radio/TV sportscaster for nearly 40 years. In that time, he has called play-by-play of hundreds of high school, college and professional games. His latest book contains the accounts of nearly 150 past and present sports stars, as they talk about who they idolized when they were children. The stars also discuss the special moments in their careers, and what it means to them to serve as idols for the next generation of sports fans.

Lynn says that his interviews had a profound effect on the stars reminding them of childhood and of the people they looked up to.

Lynn's book signing at Barnes and Noble in Carbondale will be Monday from 1-3 p.m.
