The Southern Illinois University Carbondale Flying Salukis are national champions once again.
The Salukis won the 2015 National Intercollegiate Flying Association championship last week at the Ohio State University Airport in Columbus, Ohio.
The University of North Dakota finished second, with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Prescott coming in third.
This is the second national championship in a row for the Flying Salukis and the third in the past five years.
A public reception to honor the team will be held Wednesday at Noon in the Transportation Education Center's Multipurpose Room at the Southern Illinois Airport.
