Five Workers at Choate Developmental Center in Anna Accused of Battering a Resident

Five employees at the Choate Developmental Center in Anna have been arrested.
An internal investigation by Illinois State Police led to the arrest of 40-year-old Johnny Brimm and 29-year-old Dalton Anderson, both from Jonesboro; as well as 33-year-old Bobby Lee and 28-year-old Mathew Wiseman, both of Marion.

Wiseman and Brimm are charged with Aggravated Battery and Obstructing Justice. Lee and Anderson are charged with Aggravated Battery. An investigation started in May into accusations the four men battered one of Choate's residents.

A fifth worker, 38-year-old Kevin Jackson of Carbondale, has been arrested for Aggravated Battery. An investigation into accusations he battered one of the residents started back in January.

The Aggravated Battery charge carries a possible sentence of two to five years. The Obstruction of Justice charge has a possible sentence of one to three years.
