Five Arrests Made So Far After A Fight In Murphysboro

Police Car and Lights

Five people have been arrested for their involvement in a fight last weekend at a federal housing complex in Murphysboro.
Murphysboro Police say they arrested 18-year-old Kurt Jacobs, 20-year-old Krista Ticer, 26-year-old Darren Beard, 27-year-old Ona Freeman and 29-year-old Tyler Palmer, all of Murphysboro.

Officers say they were called to the Valley Ridge Housing Complex on 18th Street at Apple Lane at around 7:30 Saturday night.

When they arrived, police found 25-30 people in the street. The group quickly left the area and no one wanted to p[provide information about the fight.

Hours after the fight, several cell phone videos surfaced on social media, which helped police identify many of those involved. More arrests are expected soon.
