Facebook Live Session to Focus on SIU's Eclipse Plans

Map

The SIU Social Media Team will host a Facebook Live session to discuss plans the university has for this summer's total solar eclipse.

The session will feature Mat Kaplan, host and producer of WSIU's Planetary Radio, and Michelle Nichols, master educator from Chicago's Adler Planetarium.
Kaplan will serve as host on August 21 at Saluki Stadium, the primary viewing location. The Adler Planetarium is one of the university's partners for the eclipse activities, and Nichols will assist in the programming that day.

You can join Friday's live session on the SIU Facebook page. Kaplan and Nichols will respond to viewers' questions as time allows.

If you aren't available at the specified time, you can replay the archived video later in the day.

The live session will start at 10:45 a.m. Friday.
