EAAA Seeks Medicare Fraud Volunteers

The Egyptian Area Agency on Aging is seeking help with its Senior Medicare Patrol.

Patrol coordinator Rindi Reeves says these volunteers attend senior fairs and inform older adults about how to spot fraud. She says the message is broken down into three phases: protect, detect and report.

Reeves says volunteers of all ages are welcome, although many volunteers across the state are both retired and Medicare beneficiaries because they have an interest in the subject matter, so they can effectively communicate the message.

To find out more information about becoming a volunteer for the Senior Medicare Patrol, contact the Egyptian Area Agency on Aging at 888-895-3306.
