Drug Arrests in Energy

Images

A traffic stop led to the drug arrest of two southern Illinois men in Williamson County.
The Energy Police Department says the driver, 32-year-old Tommy House of Marion, was arrested soon after the traffic stop near the intersection of College Street and Route 148. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, which turned out to be cocaine.

Officers tried to arrest the passenger, 30-year-old Darin Davis of Zeigler, also for possession of a controlled substance. But, Davis struggled with the arresting officer, broke free and fled. He was arrested a short time later after a disturbance was reported on West Hamilton Street in Energy.

House was also charged with improper lane usage. Davis was also charged with resisting arrest and escape from a police officer.
