A Jackson County man is accused of murder.
The Jackson County State's Attorney says 52-year-old James Michael Deese of DeSoto is charged with first-degree murder in the October 2017 death of 76-year-old Frank Stonemark of DeSoto. Deese is accused of strangling and choking Stonemark.

Deese is also charged with moving Stonemark's body to conceal the death.

If convicted, Deese faces 20 to 60 years in prison.
