Illinois COVID-19 cases grew by another 11-hundred on Tuesday, with 39 deaths added.
Public Health Director Ngoze Ezike says 1,178 new COVID-19 positive test results were logged, bringing the state's overall total to 113,195. The deatl toll stands at 4,923.
LOCAL CASE UPDATES (4:45pm Update)
Effingham County Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- Six overall positive cases of COVID-19, with four recoveries and one death.
Egyptian Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- Total COVID-19 positive cases stands at 11, with 10 recoveries.
- 874 tests administered in the three county service area
Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department:
- Four new cases: a woman in her 30s, a man in his 50s, and a woman in her 60s from Williamson County; a woman in her 50s from Franklin County.
- Total COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 58, with 44 recoveries and one death in Williamson County, 12 cases with ten recoveries in Franklin County.
Jackson County Health Department:
- 1 new case reported - a woman in her 50s.
- 2 cases removed, after additional testing showed a negative result.
- Jackson County's total positive test count is 233, with 178 recoveries and ten deaths.
Jefferson County Public Health Department:
- 2 new cases reported - a teen girl and a man in his 30s.
- Overall there have been 104 positive cases of COVID-19, with 87 recoveries and 14 deaths.
- 1214 negative test results.
Marion County Health Department
- No new cases reported.
- Overall, there have been 51 positive cases of COVID-19, with 46 recoveries.
- 1201 negative test results.
Perry County Health Department:
- 1 new case reported - a man in his 20s.
- Overall, 41 positive cases of COVID-19, with 37 recoveries.
- 599 negative test results
Randolph County Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- 32 active cases, with 29 isolating at home and three hospitalized.
- Overall, 264 positive cases of COVID-19, with 229 recoveries and three deaths.
- 1,246 negative test results.
Richland County Public Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- Overall, three positive cases of COVID-19, with three recoveries in Richland County. Two cases were identified, but those patients live outside Richland County.
- 768 negative test results.
Southern Seven Health Department:
- 1 new case - a man in his 20s from Pulaski County.
- Overall, Southern Seven reports 205 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 80 recoveries and seven deaths.
