Daily COVID Update: (June 28)

Illinois has 646 new confirmed cases and 15 deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 141,723 confirmed cases and 6,888 deaths in the state.

(LOCAL CASES)

The Perry County Illinois Health Department is reporting he death of a male in his 50s due to complications of COVID19.

It's also reporting one additional confirmed positive case of COVID-19. Bringing the total positive cases in Perry County, Illinois to 49. The diagnosed individual is a female in her 50s. There are four active cases in the county.

Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department has been notified of eight new positive cases of COVID-19 in the Franklin-Williamson county region within the past 24 hours.

All of the cases are in Williamson County: One in their 20’s, one in their 30’s, three in their 50’s, one in their 80’s and one in their 90’s.

To date, there have been a total of 112 laboratory confirmed positives in Williamson county and 13 laboratory confirmed positives in Franklin county, including 4 deaths in Williamson county. 75 have recovered in Williamson county and 12 have recovered in Franklin county.
