Illinois continues to report new cases of COVID-19, but the number has remained under 1,000 for nearly a week as of June 10.
On Wednesday, 625 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed. In addition, another 78 Illinoisans died.
The announcement brings the overall case count to 129,837 and the death toll to 6,095.
The state's positivity rate from June 3 through June 9 was 4%.
LOCAL CASES (3:30pm Update)
Effingham County Health Department:
- 8 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with six recoveries and one death.
- 804 negative tests results.
Egyptian Health Department:
- Total COVID-19 positive cases stands at 11, with 11 recoveries.
- 1,194 tests administered in the three-county service area
Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department:
- Total COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 83 cases with 58 recoveries and one death in Williamson County, 12 cases with 12 recoveries in Franklin County.
Jackson County Health Department:
- 1 new death reported - a woman in her 90s.
- 3 new cases reported - a boy under 10, a woman in her 20s, and a woman in her 50s.
- Jackson County's total positive test count is 308, with 259 recoveries and 12 deaths.
Jefferson County Public Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- Overall there have been 104 positive cases of COVID-19, with 90 recoveries and 14 deaths.
- 1,680 negative test results.
Marion County Health Department
- Overall, there have been 56 positive cases of COVID-19, with 52 recoveries.
- 1,569 negative test results.
Perry County Health Department:
- Overall, 43 positive cases of COVID-19, with 40recoveries.
- 757 negative test results.
Randolph County Health Department:
- 1 new death reported.
- No new cases reported.
- Overall, 277 positive cases of COVID-19, with 266 recoveries and seven deaths.
- 2,003 negative test results.
Richland County Public Health Department:
- No new cases reported.
- Overall, 4 positive cases of COVID-19, with 3 recoveries in Richland County. Two additional cases were identified, but those patients live outside Richland County.
- 1,031 negative test results.
Southern Seven Health Department:
- 2 deaths reported - a man in his 80s and a woman in her 90s, both from Union County.
- 2 new cases reported - a man in his 20s from Alexander County, and a woman in her 20s from Union County.
- Overall, Southern Seven reports 267 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 126 recoveries and 15 deaths.
