Illinois' COVID-19 cases grew by another 1,173 on Monday, pushing the overall total to 162,748. In addition, six more deaths were attributed to the coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 7,301.

Statewide, Illinois has now processed 2.28 million tests, with a positivity rate of 3.0% for the past week (July 13-19).

In addition, health officials say 1,410 were hospitalized across Illinois with COVID-19. Of those, 308 were in the ICU, and 133 were on ventilators.

LOCAL CASES (6:30pm Update)

Clay County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 1 new case reported - a man in his 40s.
  • 9 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with four recoveries.
  • 1,036 negative test results.

Crawford County Health Department (Region 6):

  • No new cases reported.
  • 25 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 18 recoveries.
  • 976 tests administered.

Edwards County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 9 overall positive cases of COVID-19.

Effingham County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 4 new cases reported - a boy and a girl in their teens, a man in his 20s, and a man in his 50s.
  • 47 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 31 recoveries and one death*.
    *One previously reported death was removed, after it was determined the death was not COVID-related.
  • 3,665 negative tests results.

Egyptian Health Department (Region 5):Gallatin, Saline, & White Counties

  • 19 new cases reported - a boy less than ten, a woman in her 30s, a man in his 50s, a woman in her 60s, two women in their 70s, and a man in his 80s from Gallatin County; a man in his 20s, three women and one man in their 30s, a man in his 40s, a woman in her 50s, a man in his 60s, two men and a woman in their 70s from Saline County; a woman in her 30s from White County.
  • 111 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 28 recoveries.
  • 3,522 tests administered in the three-county service area.

Fayette County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 6 new cases reported - two men in their 30s, a man and a woman in their 40s, a man in his 50s, and a woman in her 60s.
  • Total COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 39 cases with 24 recoveries and three deaths.
  • 1,891 tests administered.

Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department (Region 5):

  • 18 new cases reported - a teen girl, three women in their 20s, a man in his 30s, a man in his 50s, and two men in their 60s from Franklin County; three teen girls, a man and a woman in their 20s, a man and a woman in their 30s, a man in his 50s, and a man and a woman in their 60s.
  • Total COVID-19 positive cases now stands at 81 cases with 45 recoveries in Franklin County, and 212 cases with 150 recoveries and 4 deaths in Williamson County.

Hamilton County Health Department (Region 5):

  • 3 new cases reported - a woman in her 40s, a man in his 60s, and a woman in her 70s.
  • 11 overall positive cases, with six recoveries.
  • 458 negative test results.

Jackson County Health Department (Region 5):

  • 23 new cases reported - two teen girls, 11 women and five men in their 20s, a man in his 30s, two women and one man in their 50s, and a man in his 60s.
  • Overall, there have been 425 confirmed cases of COVID-19, with 328 recoveries and 19 deaths.

Jasper County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 1 new case reported - a woman in her 50s.
  • 49 overall positive cases of COVID-19, with 41 recoveries and seven deaths.
  • 1,082 negative test results.

Jefferson County Public Health Department (Region 5):

  • 9 new cases reported - two girls under 10, one woman in her 20s, two women and one man in their 30s, one man in his 40s, one man in his 50s, and a man in his 80s.
  • Overall there have been 144 positive cases of COVID-19, with 109 recoveries and 14 deaths.
  • 4,168 negative test results.

Lawrence County Health Department (Region 6):

  • 4 new cases reported - two men in their 20s, a man in his 40s, and a man in his 60s.
  • Overall, 25 positive cases, with seven recoveries.
  • 959 negative test results.

Marion County Health Department (Region 5):

  • 4 new cases reported - a man and a woman in their 30s, a woman in her 50s, and a woman in her 60s.
  • Overall, there have been 93 positive cases of COVID-19, with 78 recoveries.
  • 3,708 negative test results.

Perry County Health Department:

  • 1 new case reported - a man in his 40s.
  • Overall, 70 positive cases of COVID-19, with 61 recoveries and one death.
  • 2,447 negative test results.

Randolph County Health Department (Region 4):

  • 19 new cases reported - 15 from Saturday (7/18), four from Sunday (7/19), zero Monday.
  • Overall, 375 positive cases of COVID-19, with 306 recoveries and seven deaths.
  • 4,514 negative test results.

Richland County Public Health Department (Region 6):

  • No new cases reported
  • Overall, 10 positive cases of COVID-19, with nine recoveries in Richland County.
  • 2,547 negative test results.

Southern Seven Health Department (Region 5):Alexander, Hardin, Johnson, Massac, Pope, Pulaski, & Union Counties

  • 34 new cases reported - a teen girl and a woman in her 20s from Hardin County; a teen girl, a man in his 40s, and a man and a woman in their 60s from Johnson County; two teen girls, a woman in her 20s, and a woman in her 40s from Massac County; a woman in her 50s from Pulaski County; a teen girl, two women in their 20s, a woman in her 30s, seven women and one man in their 40s, five women and one man in their 50s, a man and a woman in their 60s, a man and a woman in their 70s, and a woman in her 80s from Union County.
  • Overall, Southern Seven reports 430 total confirmed COVID-19 cases, with 252 recoveries and 18 deaths.
  • 6,850 negative test results in the seven county service area (as of July 17).

Wabash County Health Department (Region 5):

  • Overall, 23 positive tests have been recorded.

Wayne County Health Department (Region 5):

  • Overall, 27 positive tests have been recorded, with 14 recoveries and one death.
  • 2,234 negative test results.
