(October 20) -- The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 3,714 new cases of COVID-19 Tuesday, along with 41 additional deaths. The overall number of coronavirus cases is 350,875 since the pandemic began, and the death toll stands at 9,277
Additionally, 6.88 million tests have been processed since the outbreak began. The rolling statewide positivity rate is 5.5% for the week ending October 19. Health officials report 2,261 people were hospitalized across Illinois with COVID-19. Of those, 489 were in the ICU, and 195 were on ventilators.
