Beginning on March 6th, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is temporarily closing the Greenbriar Boat Ramp at Crab Orchard Lake. The construction of a new, replacement ramp at the location is expected to take one month to complete. During this temporary closure, Crab Orchard Refuge Officials point out that boaters can still use the launches at Prairie Creek Recreation Area, on the north side of Route 13 where the highway goes over Crab Orchard lake, the West End Ramp, Spillway Ramp or the Route 13 Ramp.
