Southern Illinois Congressman Mike Bost updated his constituents Monday on his status after reporting last week he had tested positive for COVID-19.
In a video posted to his Facebook page, the 12th District Representative from Murphysboro said he is doing pretty well and following federal and local health guidelines.
"I have a few minor symptoms still remaining, but getting over it fairly quickly. We've got to do the full quarantine through the CDC guidelines as well as what the local health department is requiring. So, in a couple of weeks, we'll be up to 100% and doing exactly what we need to do."
Bost said his wife, Tracy, also tested positive and he thanked his constituents for their well wishes.
Bost said his staff is also isolating according to health guidelines.
