Local advocacy groups in Carbondale are presenting an interactive game where participants will experience the setbacks, challenges and costs of legally immigrating to the United States.
Southern Illinois Immigration Project's Melinda Pierson says participants will walk through various immigration checkpoints simulating the real immigration process.
Pierson says the activity is great way to present the complicated issue.
The activity begins at 5 p.m. Friday evening at the Carbondale Muslim Center on North Wall Street.
