Two former employees at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna have been arrested for official misconduct and other charges.
A third suspect is being sought.
Illinois State Police Division of Internal Investigation Agents arrested 49-year-old Sheri Fish of Sherman and 25-year-old Cody Barger of Granstburg.
Illinois State Police arrived at the facility in March 2018 to investigate allegations of the abuse of mental health patients. After a comprehensive investigation, the Union County Grand Jury issued indictments this month for Fish, Barger and 29-year-old Johnathan Lingle of Goreville.
Fish was taken to the Sangamon County Jail on Thursday. Barger is at the Union County Jail. Both have a 25-thousand dollar bond.
Lingle is wanted on one count of Official Misconduct and one count of Obstruction of Justice. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Illinois State Police Division of Internal Investigation Collinsville office at (618) 346-3500.
