A Centralia man has been arrested on drug and gun charges.
The U.S. attorney says 47-year-old David Herron is accused of intending to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, possessing a firearm during a drug trafficking crime and unlawfully possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to court documents, an FBI task force made up of federal, state and local authorities investigated Herron for narcotics trafficking in the Centralia area.
On several occasions this year, investigators say they made undercover purchases of controlled substances from him at two locations.
The meth charge carries a penalty of ten years to life in prison. The gun charges carry a penalty of five years to life, which would have to run consecutively to any other sentence.
