A Carbondale man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon.
The Jackson County State's Attorney says Carbondale Police found 30-year-old Andreako Lilly to have a .22-caliber revolver on him last November after officers were called to South Lewis Lane because of a report a man waving a gun in that area. That's when they found Lilly with the gun inside a vehicle.
Lilly has a prior felony conviction for possession of a controlled substance and is prohibited from possessing firearms. He pleaded guilty to Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.
