A Carbondale man is headed to prison for illegally having a firearm as convicted felon.
The Jackson County State's Attorney says 26-year-old Kaelan Posey was sentenced to two years behind bars after pleading guilty to unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

Carbondale Police were called to Robert A. Stalls Avenue in February 2017 regarding a man with a gun.
Officers found Posey there with a loaded pistol in his waistband.
