Carbondale leaders are continuing their look at potential revenue options for next year's budget.
During Tuesday's City Council meeting, members discussed options for service fees, increased taxes, and other options for adding money to the city's bottom line.
A new budget will be passed by the end of April. The next scheduled council meeting is March 3.

It might cost you more in the future if your car gets towed in the City of Carbondale.
The City regulates non-consensual tows - that's when your car gets towed for some sort of violation at a local business or private parking lot. The last time the city revised its rates was 10 years ago. The current rate is $65. Area tow companies would like to see those rates go up to reflect a higher cost of doing business.
Donna Smith Throgmorten is one of the owners of Larry's Towing in Carbondale. She's recommending the city's Tow rate increase by $20.
Throgmorten says the base-nonconsensual tow fee in Effingham is $85, in Champaign it's $130, and in Edwardsville it's $200. She says all of those rates are under what the state allows tow operators to charge.
The Carbondale City Council has taken the rate increase request under advisement.
A proposal could come back before the city council in March.
