Southern Illinois Congressman Mike Bost says he hopes the release of the Mueller Report will bring the controversy surrounding it to a close.
READ THE MUELLER REPORT:
Bost says the American people deserve transparency, and he voted for legislation to make the report public. But the Murphysboro Republican also says he believes the report shows what President Donald Trump has said from the beginning: There was no collusion with Russia.
Meanwhile Senator Tammy Duckworth made her statement after Attorney General William Barr's news conference Thursday morning. She says Barr's comments were biased and a "low point for the nation."
Duckworth also says Special Counsel Robert Mueller "must" testify before Congress in a public hearing as soon as possible. She says that will provide context to a complicated report and investigation.
