The Jackson County Sheriff's Department is investigating a double homicide in rural Murphysboro.
Deputies say 65-year-old Burl Ritcheson, and his 65-year-old wife Brenda, were found dead inside their home just after midnight on Monday by an adult family member who lived with the couple.
Autopsies were performed Tuesday on the Ritchesons, but the cause of death is not being released at this time.
Jackson County Sheriff's Office investigators have been following leads in the case, but no arrests have been made.
