America's Got Talent to Feature Southeast Missouri Dance Team

NBC

Twenty-six young women from Farmington, Missouri will return to Radio City Music Hall later this month to perform on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

The group is called “Innovative Force” and incorporates dance, acrobatics, cheerleading and stunts. The members range in age from 8 to 19 years old. They were selected to perform in the America’s Got Talent semi-finals after their routine, which includes girls flying through the air, impressed judges in last week’s live broadcast. Michelle Probst-Sanders is one of Innovative Force’s instructors and choreographers. She says the girls are working on brand new material:

"It's a little different for these girls because some of these acts, it might be a singing act, so theirs is about picking the right song choice. Us, it’s a physical thing. In two weeks we physically have to be able to do these new stunts that we’ve never done before and create things that America’s never seen before."

Probst-Sanders says the group tries to make their performances unique. She says some of the girls fly 20 feet in the air which can be a little scary.

There will be 20 to 24 acts in the semi-finals.
