Nearly 90 Ameren Missouri workers are on the road, heading in the direction of those affected by Hurricane Dorian. According to a news release sent to the media on Tuesday September 3rd, 2019, crews from Ameren Missouri include include linemen, fleet, logistics and safety crews. Mike Lewis, a Superintendent with Ameren Missouri, says they will first make a stop in Raleigh North Carolina where they will be briefed on what parts of the southeast are hardest hit, then, once it is safe to do so, the crews will fan out and help restore power.
In the past Ameren has helped in hurricane restoration in other parts of the country, after Hurricanes Florence last year, Irma in 2017 , Sandy in 2012 and Katrina in 2005.
