One Dead After Officer-Involved Shooting in Carterville

State Police are investigating after an officer-involved shooting in Carterville Tuesday afternoon.

Few details are being released, but police converged on a home near Elles and Dodson on Tuesday. One person was killed.

State Police investigators were called because it was an officer involved shooting - they were still on the scene late Tuesday.
