Arrowleaf, formerly known as Family Counseling Center, recently completed the purchase of its outpatient service building in Cairo.
The organization's leaders hope it'll bring more opportunities for people in Alexander County.
Arrowleaf CEO Sherrie Crabb says they plan to invest in the building to expand more programs and create jobs.
“We felt like it was a good time to be able to invest in the region, because we are very optimistic about the city of Cairo's future and our ability to help address some of those long-term issues that have plagued the area.”
The organization helps several hundred people a year with mental health, substance abuse, homeless prevention and more.
