The state Department of Veterans Affairs reports five cases of COVID-19 among residents at the Anna Veterans Home.
Illinois has expanded testing at state-run care centers, including veterans homes, over the last several weeks. Health officials say they tested all residents at staff at the Anna facility - five positive results were found among residents, with several more tests still pending.
The IDVA is encouraging residents in the veterans homes to stay in their rooms, and they're changing meal plans and other activities that would normally bring groups together.
Elsewhere in the state, 30 residents and 19 employees at the Manteno Veterans Home have received positive tests, with one resident LaSalle testing positive. The Quincy Veterans Home is so far clear of COVID-19.
