The Jefferson County Health Department has announced two new cases of COVID-19 in the county.
The department says one is a woman in her 70s who is being isolated at a local hospital and another woman is in her 60s, who is in isolation at her home.
To date, there are 78 lab-confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 in the county, two of them resulting in deaths. Six of the positive cases have now been released from isolation.
