A local bank is teaming up with the American Red Cross to host at least three blood drives later this month.
Banterra will host blood drives at its Carbondale branch on West Main Street on March 24th; at its Marion branch next to Home Depot on March 27th and at its Cape Girardeau location on North Kingshigway on March 30th. All three drives will run from 10am to 2pm. The bank says other locations could be added if necessary.
To be eligible to give blood, you must weigh at least 110 pounds, be in good health and have a valid photo ID.
The American Red Cross has put out an urgent call for blood donations because of a shortage caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
