A Pope County business celebrated their 45th anniversary Thursday.
The Chocolate Factory in Golconda celebrated being open for 45 years by offering customers ice cream cones and fountain drinks for 45 cents.
Manager Angela Bailey says unlike a lot of businesses today, most of their sales are not through the internet.
“The majority is just traffic people coming in. You would be surprised at the people that come visit Pope County to go hiking or to go to the wineries. And so that is 90% of our business is just people coming in here and word of mouth.”
Customers can choose from treats in milk, dark or white gourmet chocolate.
They can also make customized molds, including seasonal and holiday designs.
