In this segment, he talks about the importance of letting enough sunlight hit the forest floor to enable young Oak trees to sprout and to reach maturity.
It's also worth noting that many State and Federal Officials are working hard to increase the level of sunlight in the forest, so that the forest remains a healthy mix of trees.One promising initiative, led by Forester Jody Shimp, is a program called "Let The Sun Shine In".
