Dr. Marci Moore-Connelley, the featured speaker at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) Zoom meeting, is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer in the Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) System. She will provide an update on the Cancer Institute and discuss how the region’s cancer rates differ from statewide and national rates. Board Certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Moore-Connelley graduated from SIU, earned her medical degree at the University of Illinois, and practiced family medicine at the SIU Carbondale Family Medicine. She continues a part-time practice at West Frankfort Family Practice. The session is free and open to the public.
