Construction continues at Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks

The Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks is moving along with construction.

Construction is in full swing at the Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks.

The concrete walk way is poured and the frame of the structure is almost finished by the John A. Logan construction class.

The fence will be installed in the next couple of weeks.

Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks President Jane Adams says COVID-19 has created some delays because when someone tested positive the whole project shut down.

“So in some ways, the delays were a blessing in disguise because they allowed us to go for that grant and to then get it. Of course, it's been frustrating but, you know, the way the community has shown its support for us has been so heartening.”

In September the dog park won a $25,000 grant from the bark for your park contest.
