A Chicago man is wanted for stealing a firearm from a vehicle in Carbondale

The Carbondale Police Department has identified a suspect in a vehicle burglary last week.

On September 22, officers responded to the 700 block of South Lewis Lane.

They learned the suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole a firearm.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned the identity of the suspect to be 37-year-old Kendal Burke of Chicago.

Burke faces a Jackson County Arrest Warrant for Burglary, Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon and No Valid Firearm Owner’s Identification.
