No one was injured in a shooting incident early Wednesday morning in Mt. Vernon.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department reports 22-year-old Aaron McCalla of Mt. Vernon has been arrested and charged with Obstructing Justice and Reckless Discharge of a Firearm.

Around 1:30 a.m., sheriff's deputies, assisted by the Mt. Vernon Police Department, responded to a report of multiple shots fired in the 500 block of Meadowbrook Rd in Mt. Vernon.

Detectives learned the shots were fired in relation to a disturbance.
