The SIU women's basketball team has a big, new addition to its roster...literally.
The Salukis have added 2022 junior college Second Team All-American Promise Taylor...who stands six feet five inches tall.
Taylor spent this past season at Grayson College, where she averaged 7.2 rebounds per game and 11.7 points per game. She also averaged 5.6 blocks per game in conference play.
Taylor previously played at Ole Miss, where she was a member of the 2018 SEC All-Freshman Team, as well as Mississippi State before temporarily halting her career due to injury.
The Salukis are led by first-year head coach Kelly Bond-White, who replaced Cindy Stein after Stein retired at the end of the 2021-22 season.
