A Pulaski County jury finds a man guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child

A southern Illinois jury has convicted a man of two counts of Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and one count of Criminal Sexual Assault.

The Pulaski County State’s Attorney reports 39-year-old Jared Wade Hinman Sr. was found guilty on Thursday after a two-day jury trial.

Hinman was arrested in April 2021 by the Marshall County Sheriff's Office in Benton, Kentucky.

A sentencing hearing has been set for July 29 at the Pulaski County Courthouse in Mound City.

Hinman faces between 16 and 75 years in prison.

He remains in custody at the Pulaski County Detention Center pending his sentencing.
