The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch until 11:00pm for all of the WSIU Listening Area.
The watch, which means conditions are favorable for a tornado, covers counties in southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, western Kentucky, and southwest Indiana.
The region can expect strong to severe thunderstorms through the evening, with the potential for heavy rain, hail, high winds, and possibly a few tornadoes.
