A Marion man has been arrested on multiple charges following an incident early Tuesday morning in Carbondale.

Carbondale Police officers responded to the 300 block of South Cedarview Street just after midnight following a report of a suspicious vehicle with obscured license plates.

They found the vehicle in the 100 block of South Wall Street, but the driver got away. They found the vehicle again in the 500 block of East Main Street and at least three occupants fled on foot from the vehicle.

Officers captured 21-year-old Davaughn Graves after a brief foot chase. Police recovered two firearms and learned the vehicle had been reported as stolen from Murphysboro.

Graves is charged with Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapons, Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer and Possession of Cannabis less than 10 grams.
