A Jackson, Missouri woman has been arrested for running a stolen credit card scheme.

Last Friday, an investigation resulted in the arrest of 36-year-old Rachel Hartman.

Investigators determined Hartman would approach people at gas stations and offer them fuel for cash. Then, she would fill up people's vehicles with the stolen card and ask them to pay for half of the pumped fuel via cash.

The investigation concluded Hartman made over 100 transactions, totaling close to 10-thousand dollars of fraudulent charges.

The Prosecuting Attorney's office issued an arrest warrant charging Hartman with Fraudulent use of a credit/debit device.

She remains incarcerated in the Cape Girardeau County Justice Center.
