The winning Congressional Art Competition piece by Kassidee Gabby

A Marion High School student is the winner of the 2022 Congressional Art Competition.

12th District Congressman Mike Bost announced Kassidee Gabby's artwork will hang in the Cannon Tunnel in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.

Bost says Gabby's piece is entitled Captivating Cardinals and he likes it because it incorporates the state bird, the Cardinal and the state flower, the violet.

The Mt. Vernon Visitors Center hosted this year's event.
