Seed Radio – The Confluence of Radio Art, Space and Place event - Saturday, April 23rd

On this edition of InFocus, we hear from Jay Needham, Sound Artist and Professor of Audio Arts in the College of Arts and Media at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. We will also hear from Sound Artist Anna Friz, Associate Professor in Film and Digital Media at the University of California at Santa Cruz.

They will give us a preview of the upcoming public sound art event planned for Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 at Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center.

Kevin Boucher is a retired broadcaster. Most recently he was a news reporter for WSIU radio. He grew up watching nature programs including Mutual of Omaha’s wild kingdom and the many Jacques Cousteau specials which sparked his passion with nature. Kevin also is an avid hiker and loves seeing and writing stories about the many fascinating plants and animals we share our planet with. Kevin is married and has lived in Murphysboro since 1976, after living in many places, including Japan, as the son of a Navy officer.
