Continental Tire in Mt. Vernon is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for making two bomb threats toward the plant over the past several weeks.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office says in both instances, the plant was evacuated.

Authorities determined both threats were not credible and employees returned to work.

Continental Tire officials say they will increase safety measures, so workers should prepare for delays entering the facility.

The company is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those making the threats.

If anyone has information, they can contact the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at 618-244-8004 or CrimeStoppers at 618-242-8477.
